Cani Hiking

Let us introduce you to cani-hiking, a great summer activity! After meeting our pack of 40 happy sled dogs, you will pick your favorite dog, learn how to harness him, put on a waist belt and attach your dog to it with an elastic leash, and you are ready for a good work out!

You will learn how to guide your dog using musher commands and you will be amazed by his strength and willing to pull ! A very special bond will develop between your canine partner and you as you embark on an adventure that will lead you through a variety of beautiful trails in the enchanting Yukon summer wonderland.

Our favorite full day tour will take you all the way to the Mount Sumanik Ridge. It is a long hike but worth the effort as the views up there are just incredible ! The full loop is 24 kms including a few kilometers hiking off trail in the alpine and 950 m of elevation gain. It is the best choice for an experienced hiker or someone looking for a good workout ! And the dogs really help you a lot when going up hill, they are the best coach ever.

If you do not feel ready for such an adventure, you can try our half day hikes exploring the single track trails in the Fish Lake area, and offering some perfect postcard scenery!

Our backyard is a dream come true for a keen hiker. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have a special request !

Summer Dog Sled Rides

Join us on a summer or fall sled dog training ! When the snow is gone it is still possible to run and train our athletes, and to do so we use an ATV, pulled by 8 to 16 dogs. They love it and you can see how they get excited when we start the engine ! They all want to come and have fun running down the trails. We will head out on beautiful hilly trails going through the woods and we will stop half way to let the dogs cool off in a pond.

Our training sessions are limited to 1 person. You will have an exclusive experience of the dog mushing world, learn how to harness the dogs and hook them up to the ATV, and you will understand what it takes to train a competitive racing team.

Dog Scooter Tours

Embark on a crazy adventure, unique in Yukon. Picture this : an all terrain scooter, a bouncy alaskan husky and some of the finest forest trails as your playground. Imagine the thrill of being pulled by your powerful teammate, who will show you what a well trained alaskan husky can do. Yes, it is still possible to have tons of fun with sled dogs when the snow is gone !

This tour requires a high level of physical participation : helping the dogs when going up hill, braking a lot when going down hill and keeping your balance on trails that can be bumpy, rocky, or muddy. Previous biking experience is definitely recommended. Long pants, sleeves, and closed toe footwear are required. We provide helmets and gloves.

If you do not feel comfortable going up and down hilly trails we also have the possibility to take an easier road, flat and wide for the most part.
